Hi Scotty. I have an 03 f150 v8 triton 4.6 super crew. My problem is the low beams do not work. The high beams do but not low beams. I bought some 12 gauge wire and I saw your video on splicing wire. My problems is I do not know how to identify the low beam wire in my truck please help. -Cameron

Have you checked the low beam fuse, relay, switch, the lamp itself?

Don't forget to check your fuses.

I don't think you should do what you're thinking about doing because it's probably easier to just troubleshoot the circuit and fix what's wrong with it.

Grab a test light and check for power on BOTH test tabs of each of the Low Beam headlight fuses when you have the headlight switch on and the multifunction switch in the LOW Beam position.

The diagram shows them as fuses 28 and 26 in your passenger compartment fuse box.

If you don't have power to those fuses you can check for Power on the RD/YE (Red/Yellow stripe) wire coming out of the headlight switch (headlights on) on the switch's wiring connector (backpin the wire with a pin with the connector connected to the switch). If you don't have Power there, you have a bad headlight switch.

(takes about 20 seconds to pop out that switch with a screwdriver and access the wiring connector) ((plenty of youtubes showing how to do that))

If you do have Power there, but no power to those 2 fuses it's a pretty safe bet that you have a bad multifunction switch.

The only other possibility would be if your F150 came with the DRL (Daytime Running Lights) option.

In that case you'd want to check the DRL Relay too
