Mom is having mobility issues. She can not get into our 22 Lexus rx350. Is there a way to lower the SUV safely?
it's going to cost you a pile of money, and then you'll need smaller tires and have to deal with weird wear issues etc . She's probably better off just getting a sedan
@imperator It was wishful thinking, thanks
Getting in and out of a sedan can have its problems too if you have mobility issues. I'm in my seventies and getting in and out of a sedan can be a chore for me. It is much easier for me to get in and out of our 2024 RX350 than our 2013 ES350.
She may need to try sitting in a few different vehicles to find one that's the best height for her to easily slide in.
I'm completely with you on the this one. After I read @jakedeadjake 's post my first though was..Getting in and out of a sedan can have its problems too
When was it ever 'easy' to get in and out of a sedan? Having a Toyota sedan and truck, getting in the Tacoma is a breeze compared to the Camry.
@hixster my naive assumption was that the issue is having to climb in and out. Bending down could be an issues also, but then why would he want to lower it. I'm at a loss.
