I've seen the results of high age / mileage harmonic balancer failures on youtube. My 2011 G.S. / 6M only occasionally sees 7K rpm. At what age/mileage should I consider A Summit pulley replacement & crankshaft pin kit ? Have you seen a balancer go out/ wobble or vibrate on a daily driver? Any suggestions on preventative maintenance other than driving sanely?
thank you

I have seen LS3 harmonic balancers go out on Corvettes with as little as 30k miles. But it all depends on how hard you are pushing the car.
Daily driven with some spirited driving thrown in, I would say around the 70k - 80k miles area would be prime to go ahead and upgrade it. Now, if you do road course or track it, drop that to 40k -50k.
