Question 2015 Prius brakes

Topic starter

I am looking to do a front and back brake job on a 2015 Prius with 80k mileage. I was wondering if I needed to be worried about the ABS system on the vehicle. I know about the special tool for the brake piston, and I've done brake jobs before. I was told that as long as I don't open the brake system to air I should be fine. Is this correct? Or do I need scottys 5,000 dollar scan tool? Haha.

Changing pads out is just fine if you dont need to bleed them which you shouldn't have to. Youre not opening any brake lines changing the pads out and if youre changing the rotors too you can leave the brake line attached to the caliper still.

Lol you'll be fine. Just don't open the brake line and you can bypass bleeding the system.
