Good Morning.. we have good weather here in Chicago... 30 degrees is warm for Jan. I want to post Scotty's video, and ask a few questions. In this video, is this the same as lubricating the chassis? I have changed a few tires, Im not afraid to be under a car. Like Scotty, I do everything myself because I had way too many bad experiences with mechanics. I see he is using white lithium grease... but I think there's more to do than just this... ? And the other question is does anyone know the fitting I need for my ratchet to drain my trans fluid on an '09 Honda? I feel comfortable asking these questions HERE 🙂 because there are so many smart and very helpful people in this forum, I am not afraid to ask questions on here. In life, as a woman, a lot of guys seem to just shake their heads if I were to ask in person.. I have not let that deter me, especially now that I found this Forum. Thanks for helping. Thanks A LOT!!!!
To drain a transmission it's just a regular 3/8 ratchet you use the square and with the sockets go on you don't need a socket that end just fits in.of course modern cars don't have any real grease lubrications points to them so if you do get noises you have place you want to lubricate yes spray stuff works perfectly fine as long as it can be used on rubber products
@scottykilmer Thank YOU. I need to time this work, waiting for the garage to be empty, and also having all the things I need to be ready, especially the mindset. This Forum is excellent, and you are a BIG money saver for me. Hate dealing with certain mechanics I can feel their 'eyerolls' ... a gut instinct. And I do value my money... hate getting ripped off.
