LX470 Engine Stalling, Stumped!

Hello Scotty,

I'm really hoping that you can give me some insight on fixing my 1998 Lx470, 176,000 miles, no CEL, automatic. Right now the truck continues to stall out when I come to a stop and take my foot off of the gas peddle. It doesn't have any CEL. Here's the youtube video on it:

Here's some things I've done.
-Changed MAF with Autozone MAF
-Swapped MAF with another Toyota
-Cleaned original MAF
-Checked grounds in the engine bay and on frame
- Unplug the battery to reset the car
- Checked spark plugs and coils
- Checked for vacuum leaks
- Checked for loose or broken wires

Things I'm going to do:
- Check alternator
- Swap battery out

Things that were done before my ownership within 10,000 miles:
- Installed new fuel filter
-Installed fuel pump
- Replace fuse box ( I don't know why)
- New starter
- New intake manifold gaskets

Mods:
Viper alarm
Aftermarket radio

Any ideas Scotty?

Thank you,

Thomas

Seems kinda throttle body-ish, maybe.  Have you looked at the TB, flap disk, idle air control valve, etc?  Might just need a good cleaning.

@dad2lm2 yeah my first thought was the idle air control valve needs cleaning at least, I always do the TB too. My 98 4runner would nearly stall, especially after getting good and warm and coming to a stop, just needed the IAC cleaned.

The IAC may need replacing if it is stalling that bad.

Just my 2 cents, but if they bodged anything relating to the fuel, it's suprisingly easy to access it. I'm assuming it's behind the rear seats? Did the job last weekend on my Toyota Celsior and if all Toyotas are the similiar, it only took a few hours. And that was my first time, while taking time to do stuff like respray and clean little bits of rust and all that.
