Scotty, my main man, I wanted to save this for the Saturday Live but I'm in car mode all night.
I'm replacing the softtop on my convertible horse in a few weeks. Thought a black one would be cool, because she's originally tan.
Was looking to find custom colors but I can't. I'm a painter anyway, it would be the most meaningful thing to just do it myself.
Not finding much advice because this is a very strange question. Ebay only has the 4 standard colors, and CJ Pony thinks I'm rich or something.
Is there special automotive paint I can paint her with?
Does a soft top paint sealer even exist or should I start a business and invent it? I may only get one costumer but hey, maybe she can finance herself hehe.
Scotty, should I stick with just a black or tan top because this idea is goofy? Your opinion means the world to me.
Saw that purple minions car you checked out forever ago and it lives in my mind rent free to this day.
I think it would be cool. I just don't wanna hit her with spray paint and regular sealer and have it all chip off overnight.
Can it be done, beyond should it be done? Haha
You're the best and the world needed you, thanks for being everything that you are.
You can't paint softtop. It'll end up cracking and look like crap
@scottykilmer Thanks Scotty, I thought so, but here's to dreaming haha
If you're dealing with a canvas top rather than vinyl there are dyes that can be used.

@chucktobias Thanks for that. I think I was looking at vinyls but I'm pretty sure her original is Canvas.
Opinion on Vinyl vs Canvas? Cause I think I want Canvas anyway. I'll check it out.
Helicopters will see Scotty Kilmer when they look down on the top of my car lol
I've only ever had a convertible with vinyl top so can't say. Most European convertibles seem to come with canvas tops.
