Hi Scotty,
Love the work you do. I am from Canada and we have a product at our local Walmart called Marvel Mystery Oil. It is made in the States. I have a friend who works on cars a lot and swears by the stuff. He puts it in his oil and gas. My regular mechanic never heard of it and cautioned against using it. Do you know anything about Marvel Mystery Oil. I know very little about cars but am learning slowly but surely from you. Thanks.
Marvel Mystery Oil has been an automotive staple since the 1920s. Hard to believe a mechanic would not have at least heard of it.
I don't think I'd put the stuff into the gas or oil of a modern car. Main thing I've seen it used for is pouring into cylinders to free up the pistons in an engine that's stuck due to sitting around for a very long time. Also works well for oiling air tools.
Thank you. Much appreciated.
