I have a 2014 Toyota Matrix the odometer stopped counting miles at 299,999... is it supposed to explode after that? Just kidding.. Love the car and it has been so dang reliable

Yup. Time's up. You have to return the car and get a new one 😉

Look at it this way, there are a ton of other cars that could have the same flaw, they just never make it that far to find out.
230k on my 05 Matrix, two more years at the rate I am going, and mine stays forever young at 299k!
