2022 Ford Maverick bail or wait?

Scotty, I recently sold my 2003 Cowboy Cadillac, (Ford F150, Lariat) for a ridiculous High price. I have a gifted Honda CRV now.
I inquired about the New 2022 Ford Maverick back in November and pulled the trigger on January 24th. (Before the deadline). Seeing how I inquired back in November, I made the Build list. Ford is now eliminating packages, not just add-on accessories. They also don't guarantee delivery dates for the current year.

Should I bail and Wait for the new August release of the year 2023 model?

What's the right thing for Ford to do?

I would bail. The jury is out with the quality on it. Ford definitely doesn't have the best track record

Scotty reviewed one.

Do you have the budget for a Ridgeline?  Same form factor, but has a proven track record.

I don't trust anything coming from Ford for years now. I'd say bail, but you do what you feel is right for you.

I’d wait, I think the maverick has potential to be a decent get around rig. What I don’t like is the unibody construction and the Mexico quality control. It’s still to new to tell how good or bad the maverick really is though. From a business standpoint though I think Ford was smart bringing it out.

If you are looking for a truck in that class, I would consider the Honda Ridgeline, albeit it’s a little bigger and pricier.

Personally I think the maverick will be a good truck, but I could never buy a first model year of anything. Mexico quality control I wouldn't really harp about as much as some people may think. The same regulations and procedures are in place whether it's here or there. I would wait a while before purchasing one just to be safe.

It's not even a real truck and the size of the bed is useless.
