Mazda 3 clicking/knocking from rear

Hello! I have a 2010 Mazda 3 FWD with the 5 speed auto and about 104k miles. The rear end has been loudly clicking for months and I have no clue where the noise comes from. The rear sway bar end links were replaced last Oct and the noise went away until Dec, when the noise came back seemingly louder. The noise occurs when going over bumps, but occurs randomly on smooth roads and rarely when I step out of the car. So far the rear end has new rear struts, sway bar links from last Oct and new brake calipers. Also the parking brake does not engage firmly. Everything seems normal and nothing looks broken. The emergency spare tire and jack is also firmly held in place. What the heck could it be?

If the parking brake doesn't fully engage, the noise could be coming from a loose or misplaced parking brake cable.  Check it for proper routing and adjustment.
