Whats your opinion on an 04 mazdaspped 6? mine has no rust but shifts a little stiff. Is that a common problem?

I can't speak to the shifting, but Mazda quality back then wasn't the best. They had a lot of collaborations with Ford around that time that resulted in some poor quality vehicles.
