What are your guy's thoughts on Isuzu Vehicles. I'm looking at a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo with about 95,000 miles on it and they are asking $2600. IS it worth looking into their vehicles from the 90s. Are they known for good motors, automatic transmission that sort of stuff?
When they were made in Japan, they were good. As they moved production to Mexico, everything went downhill fast.
They were never popular in the states.
Finding parts for the Isuzu is not easy in the US.
They were decent cars. Like Suzuki, Isuzu was one of the underrated manufacturers in North America. Where they never really caught on and we're unpopular they depreciated quickly so it is easy to get a good deal on one. If that one checks out you should be good to buy it.
From doing a little bit of research they seem to be the same vehicle just branded differently. Which should make looking for parts significantly easier.
Ask around your local auto part stores regarding part availability & prices. That should give you a good pointer towards maintenance costs, in future.
