Hey, I was wondering on how I go about getting a mechanical inspection when buying a used car. Would I get the guy to go and have a written paper or would I go with him. I live far out of the city
By "the guy" , I presume you mean the seller.
Absolutely not. First of all, he will not want to pay for an inspection. That's on you. Second, do not trust any piece of paper he hands you.
Arrange for the seller to meet you at the auto shop (whom you've already talked to). First test drive the car, and take note of anything unusual. Then you both watch as the car goes up on the lift for inspection. Ask the mechanic about anything you noticed during the test drive.
If the seller refuses any of this, then just move on to the next car.
Awesome thanks you very much. I am aware that I'd pay for it I just couldn't Invision how it would go on
well he's not going to go out and get an inspection for you himself, either.
