im rlly dissapointed, my mechanics apprentice did my oil change cause he was busy. at first he took the 4.7 L mobil 1 jug and dumped the whole thing then i went and told him its wrong only needs 4.2. the mechanic came drained some out and i thought i should be alright now. I go home park on the street flat surface for 5 hours then check level and its still a lick over. When i did some research it said it can damage crankshaft if its over 2nd dot as its engineered specifically. Should I go back there tomorrow and ask him to drain some more. I indend to keep this car another decade at least as it only had 70k mile on 2010 accord 4cyl

thx
how much oil over 2nd dot do you estimate so i can measure out, like half liter?
yeah that's too high
Yup, drain out about a quart from underneath & pour in just enough until you’re at the full mark. Or have your regular mechanic do it for you.
so a quart, can i drain a bit under 2nd line then go home leave on on flat surface till its a 2nd dot
?
Sure.
