Mr. Kilmer, please help!
Mechs can't figure it out. Original owner H Element 03. When opening the door I see the key light blinking. Try to start the car but it doesn't and along with the key light the engine light and the parking light start blinking really fast, then need to wait bet 2 and 24 hrs and then the car starts like nothing wrong with it, runs good for a week and does it again. Replaced battery, and starter, full tune-up. Change air sensor even though nothing was coming out in the scanner saying anything wrong. This last mechanic has the car for almost a month now and can't replicate the issue. Please help. I need the car back.

Do they have a scanner good enough to check all the modules in the car like Scotty uses?

It sounds as though it may be immobiliser related and like Chuck said, you’ll need to have it looked at by someone with a dealer level scan tool.

They were having an issue with the dash cluster that did that.
When it won't start, smack the top of the dash (hard) above the odometer a couple of times and then try to start it.
If it works, buy a new dash cluster.
