A Class 2015(15) 1.5 A180 CDI

The engine is good, it's the Renault 1.5 dCi.

Don't forget to replace the timing belt.

7G-DCT

The transmission on these is subpar, jerky, and super expensive to replace the clutch pack when it goes out.

It can go as early 30k miles, and easily cost a few grand if you're lucky.

If you want a Mercedes A class, buy it with a manual and only the OM607 engine.

Itwt has asked me to look into this, now that I had some time to log in I did share my opinion.

Thanks a million Dan! Won't be getting a Renault that's out of the question. Probs not a merc either now. Back to square one I guess...lol

Well the Renualt 1.5L engine that's inside of the Mercedes is better than any modern Mercedes engine.

I am not a fan of Mercedes but generally the ones you get in England are made in Germany are much better made than the crap they sell here in the United States. But if you thinking about buying that definitely have a mechanic. Check it out before you shell out your moolah

Scotty! Lovely to chat with you I'm your biggest fan and have told my friends here in Scotland, UK about your channel too : D. thanks very much for your your channel with excellent advice each week really appreciate your honesty. Not sure if i will get a merc, may be out of my price range especially further down the line if it requires spares. looking for a fuel efficient diesel , low tax and decent reliable car max budget is £10.000 . low grade cars such as ,(Peugeot ,Citroen, Skoda , fiat or Vauxhall are out of the question) Any suggestions would be most appreciated ! : D {blackemo}:flowers:
