[Solved] Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen diesel, worth buying??

Hello Sir Scotty, been your fan for quite some time now. There are G-Wagens that are diesel powered. And I know that Daimler diesel engines are quite reliable. Are they worth buying??

Way too expensive to repair especially in the US.

Back then they were (somewhat) better made but they are so old that a fortune would go into it for any serious use.

I don't know the details but maintenance and repairs costs would still be high.

If you could afford to buy a brand new one, then you might consider buying a 4 decade old one as a weekend toy.
If you can't, it isn't recommended for you to buy a German vehicle.
