Hey Scotty, I have a 2001 mercedes benz c320 that has gone into limp mode. the obd 2 code that comes up is P0120 which says throttle/pedal position A circuit. I changed the throttle and the pedal but still the car wont wont rev higher than 2000 rpm. I got an auto electrician to check it out and he says that it is the ecu that's gone bad. I got a new ecu with the same part number but the car doesnt start, and I believe it's bcoz the immobiliser does not respond to this new ecu. I just want to know if anyone here would have experienced the same and have any solution?
Did you reprogram the ECU?
no i did not. but what i noticed with the new ecu when it is plugged in, i Scanned the vehicle for codes and the same P0120 is stored as a pending code, so i want to be believe this problem might still arise if i go ahead and reprogram the new ecu, so i dont want to waste money. does anyone have a wiring diagram ffor this vehicle?
