Hi scotty, I recently purchased a 2017 Mercedes E300 certified pre owned with a 1 year cpo warranty unlimited mileage. At the time of the purchase I was told cpo warranty covers everything just like mfg warranty. I took my car to Fletcher Jones Mercedes of Fremont Ca few days bc the rear bumper chrome molding came lose at left corner. They said I have to pay $600 to have it replaced. I said I have warranty, they said no,,read the fine prints, cosmetic parts will not be replaced under CPO warranty such as chrome molding, sun visor and etc.....I feel totally taken by Mercedes by the way they lied to me and sold me a CPO car with a warranty that has many clauses. Please let the public know about the scam that Mercedes benz runs with false advertising about CPO warranty coverage. Thank you, your fan. Amir
So you signed a contract document which states that chrome isn't covered ... and now you're mad that the contract doesn't cover your chrome.

At the time of the purchase I was told cpo warranty covers everything just like mfg warranty.
You can’t go by what someone told you. You need to read all the fine print before you sign the dotted line.
This is an understatement.
What the sales droid giveth the fine print taketh away. Always read the fine print!
Keep in mind even if a warranty legitimately covers an item, that doesn’t mean they won’t still try to find a way out. For instance if you are not on top of all engine oil changes and service items (with all documentation) and something fails related to those - they can claim you didn’t service on time or get all items addressed at appropriate intervals. They will look for ways to not cover. You have to almost be a pseudo-lawyer and cover yourself so they can’t deny you.
