Hey scotty.! What do you think about the mercury mariners/ford escapes.? I just found a 2008 Mariner with 59,000 miles for $6200, i dont know if thats a good deal or if those are even decent cars. They aren't excellent cars, but they aren't terrible. I've seen some, particularly the Mariners, get up in the 150k to 200k range in mileage and still be fairly reliable. That said, you DEFINITELY want to get it inspected by a mechanic pre-purchase. A lot of the Escapes are purchased by younger owners due to price and don't always get maintained as well as they should.

Thanks man. I think im gonna just stick to toyota, i can get a used highlander for a much better price, and i bet it would outlast both of those., right now im looking at either that or a matrix with a manual transmission. @mod_man
