Scotty I know this is a Dumb question but What’s the difference between mercury and Ford And which is better.
Again a stupid question I’m curious about.

They are essentially the same. Mercury tended to be more upmarket, better interiors and equipment versus their Ford counterparts.

Mercury and Ford were the same company. Mercury was marketed towards more upper class customers.
Ford shut down Mercury in 2010 (around the time all manufacturers were all downsizing after the 2008 crash)

Same cars, different badges.
Ford. Lincoln. Mercury. All are Fords.

Same vehicles, the underpinnings are same with a few interior and exterior changes to cater to different markets. Just like Kia/Hyundai, Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, and the list goes on.
