I have a mazda miata 2001 with 100k miles. When I turn on the ac there's a squeak that goes away but comes back periodically while I drive. What could it be ?

depends on the squeak comes from it's in the dash it's probably an actuator for the vents just live with it if it works

In addition to what Scotty said, if it’s from outside the cabin or under the hood, check the AC compressor & clutch pulley.
