Mid sized/small pick with 4x4
I'm looking to buy a mid sized or small pick truck with 4x4. I need the 4x4 because I live in Colorado and spend a fair amount of time in the mountains. I'd like not for finance one and stay around $5-8k. Which truck is best to match these specs?

Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Honda Ridgeline. Would be my picks, of course with anything prior inspection and test drive are required and if the person doesn't want you too they are hiding something.

1998-2011 Ranger. V6 4.0 preferred, 09-11 preferred but lol.
Tacoma = Money Pit. Buy your own parts store !
Ridgeline, lots of driveline failures with AWD, 4WD not available !
