Hi Scotty,
I took your advise and bought a Camry Solara convertible in decent shape with 143000 miles on it for $1000.
My question is does this engine have a timing chain belt ?
if so, when should we change it ?

Depends on the year. You might search for 'maintenance schedule' for that specific year to see when it needs to be changed.
