Hi All,

(Hyundai Santafe 2013 - 2,07,000 KMS 2.4 4 CYL)

I have been facing a recent mileage drop , random stalling and hesitation when accelerating. The mechanic advised it would be a clogged MAF sensor. I want to clean the same since its a relatively easy job. However, I am trying to get to the location of that and unable to do so. I am trying to figure our the MAF sensor location through repair guides and I am not able to find one. Any suggestions.

The maf sensor is very easy to get to attend the air intake near the air filter. Watch my video, make your car run better with a little spray cleaner, Scotty. It's on YouTube. It'll show you how easy it is to clean it

I found that my car doesn't have a MAF sensor. Would MAP Sensor cleaning serve the same purpose.?

Yes, clean the MAP sensor. More info here: https://www.autozone.com/diy/engine/how-to-clean-a-map-sensor MAF

@hixster I had cleaned the map sensor. The random stalling and hesitation is gone. But in 80 KMPH there is a vibration but goes away when I take my leg of the pedal. This vibration happens only at 80-85 KMPH. Any ideas?

That's good news, glad to hear this.

@chucktobias The vibration is a different issue and should be addressed with a new question(per our forum rules)
