Hi Scotty,
I live in UK and drive VW Passat 2013 1.6TDI, I use to get 70 miles per gallon when i bought this car 2016 then after emission software update in 2017, my car engine performance went significantly down and i was getting worse gas mileage.
I have done service every year on time and i have had my DPF cleaned too but nothing has made difference. Could you please advise what is wrong with my stupid VW. Thank you

Well it's all because they change the software. To make it not pollute. It doesn't get the good gas mileage. I would have never had the software changed myself. I would have left it alone. It's really nothing you can do unless you want to put it back to the old software. He can find someone you can do that
