2013 mini countryman with 130k miles. Took to a dealer and they say it needs a new pre-cat oxygen sensor and valve cover. Planning on OEM sensor but can aftermarket valve covers work well?
Trying to help my mom out and it looks like I can do it myself and save her a lot of money. Thanks.

If the valve cover is literally just a cover on that engine and does not affect anything mechanical, an aftermarket part should be OK, assuming it fits and seals properly.
