TBH, I wouldn’t easily recommend either, as I much prefer a Toyota or Honda with respect to reliability.
With that said, between the two, and without knowing much about each car. I’d be more interested in the MKX 2015 or earlier, because it shares a platform with Mazda, and the engines are naturally aspirated. I’d have to dig in further before throwing any weight behind a recommendation, just something to look into.
The MKX is essentially a fancy Ford Edge.
And the MKC is essentially a fancy Ford Escape.
