Mobility Van

Scotty,

We own a Mobility Van which we use to travel with our Special Needs son.  My wife was involved in an accident about a week ago.  (The car was rear ended as she was pulling into our driveway.). It looks like the insurance company is considering the van totaled.  It is a specially modified 2019 Chrysler Pacifica, with 13268 miles on it.  The car was a good car, but I want it’s replacement to be a Toyota Sienna Hybrid awd.  These cars when modified (lowered floor 14in. etc). turn a van which costs $40k to a van that costs $72k. (Today probably 80K) I remember what you have said about Toyota’s engine and trans., this is why I want to get the Sienna AWD.  We live in Northern NJ, which is why I want AWD. What do you recommend, the Sienna or the Pacifica?

Thanks for listening,

Respectfully

Edward Korek

Definitely go with the Toyota Sienna but with a caveat.  Just keep in mind if you plan to keep the vehicle beyond 150,000 or 200,000 miles the hybrid system repairs and replacements of parts (including batteries) can get very expensive.

Thanks for the quick response.

Ed
