I'm a half-ass mechanic, but I'm a 31 year veteran of the automotive industry. I started out as a Development Engineer for parking brake systems for a big Tier 1 supplier, worked as a Buyer for another Tier 1, and I've spent the last 21 years with Mercedes-Benz USI in Alabama as a Buyer, Tooling Controller, Logistics Project Lead, and so on. I have both my CPSM, and my VDA 6.3 Process Auditor certifications.
I do some work on my cars, but I'm not a mechanic. I wasn't sure if you might want a moderator with general industry knowledge.
