I used to be a mechanic before I joined the US Navy in 2006. I got out in 2012 and one of the things I miss the most is the Auto Hobby Shop available on base. I worked on a lot of my own cars, trucks, and jeeps there as well as helping out the junior sailors out by teaching them how to work on their own cars. I'm not an "expert" by any means, but still know more than enough to get myself into trouble. I'm actually considering opening up a small shop soon when I find another house with a good building for a decent shop. I've owned WAYYY too many vehicles to count over the years from Jeeps to big 3/4 diesel trucks that I've built up to 92 Accord beater commuter cars and everything in between. well, that's some of my info...if you want me to moderate, I will.
