I am getting ready to buy a Toyota and read about the mold problem. Many years of cars were involved and I read a recent newer model complaint. I believe the years were 2009-2015. Has anyone had mold issues with the cars or been free of mold?
Well I've never seen it myself of course you want to keep a car clean and dry you spill stuff in it you can get mold I've never seen any of those problems myself
Maybe they are referring to the AC system. Running it too long/often in recirculate mode can cause it to not dry out properly and harbor mold. I have been driving Toyotas for many years and have always had this in the back of my mind.
you would think recirculate would keep it drier than if you were constantly bringing new moist air from outside the vehicle.
