Hi Scotty,

I need to replace sway bar bushings and control arms, and was wondering which aftermarket brand do you recommend? I am considering Moog, Mevotech, and Dorman.

Thank you!

I have used Moog and Dorman. The front's  I used Moog on my GX470 were made in japan, I like that, they seem to be doing their job.

For the rear's the moogs were made in Mexico, but so far after maybe 20k miles they are doing fine.

When I needed some for my 2005 Matrix a couple of months ago, Rockauto showed the Dorman's as being premium. After 5k miles or so, they are doing fine. They are made in China, which I don't much like, but China can make quality stuff if their quality control department makes them.

I am happy with Moog and Dorman so far, my cars are riding as they should.

I used the mid tier mevotech. I’m not completely sold on it. And I’m not completely against it either. I’m about a year in, so far so good.

I was eyeing MOOG prior, because they have a decent history, but it seems they aren’t as good as they used to be.
