Hi Scotty, I have a 2003 VY Holden Commodore, auto transmission, milage is 356305 kilometres.
I got it for 1000$ because it would stop suddenly and wouldn't start unless you waited for up to 20 minutes or so.
I bought a new key and programmed it, put a new belt on it, the upper radiator hose had a hole in it so I replaced it, I opened up the thermostat housing to find there wasn't a thermostat at all so I put a new one in, the battery was bone dry so I bought a new one and replaced the air filter, all to my disappointment because the damn thing still does the same thing but now the engine light will come on!! Gahhhhhh!!!!!!
Should I even waste more time or money on it or just scrap it {black}:idontknow: ???
Please help!!
PS I wish you were my neighbour.
PSS I can only afford cheapo cars for around a grand.
I forgot to mention that I flushed the cooling system and refilled it with coolant .
change the fuel filter and then pressure test the fuel pump.
What’s The code?
Hmm, probably could do with a new fuel filter so i'll do that.
Just comes up with Check Engine on the dash so I don't know the code.
