Motorcycle Radiator

Hey Scotty,

I'm getting ready to replace the radiator on my 2012 Yamaha FZ8 because it's got a slow leak where I guess a rock or something damaged it.  I do basic stuff on my cars, but haven't done a lot of repairs on my bike.  Any tips, warnings, etc?

Easy job to do with the only problem is motorcycle radiators cost a fortune cuz there's very little aftermarket parts so you have to pay the dealer price but you could try a motorcycle junkyard

I found a new one on Amazon for $158... probably coming from Asia somewhere. Hopefully it is good.

It's easier by far to do a motorcycle radiator that one in a car.  Just take your time and burp the system.

When you say burp, do mean fill it up and let it run for a minute with the cap off and then top off?

No, I mean getting all the air out of the system.

Update: I finally received the new radiator and installed it last weekend. I did have some minor fitment issues, but got it installed and it seems to be working well.

Good job!
