How to fix My 2006 Ford Taurus Se?

I was sold my grandpa’s 2006 Ford Taurus Se after it was decided he could no longer drive. It had sat in his garage for about 13 years mostly only driving him to and from church and grocery in the village.  It had no rust that I knew of and only 35000 miles when I bought it from him about two years ago.  It now has rust on the inside passenger floor because there is a leak of unknown origin. It leaks when it rains. Also there is now a problem with my passenger side flasher. It doesn’t blink when stopped but seems to while I’m driving is that even possible? the blinker inside also runs super fast when clicked toward the left but normal when clicked to the right. Are these two issues related do you think?

They could be related once water and trues into the car it messes with computer modules and wiring check for corroded wiring and figure out where that leak is

I had a Taurus, things are only going to get worse.

Usually, a fast blinking indicator is showing the bulb is burned out.
