Hey, I have a 2008 automatic scion tc with roughly 250,000 or a little less miles on it that wont turn on and I dont know why. I was driving on the freeway and felt something off about the my car it wasnt running as strong. When I got off the freeway I was driving uphill and my car just shut off and wouldnt turn on again. I got off and checked my car but there was not sign of over heating or and the battery was still working because my cars radio would work and lights and everything electrical worked. I had it parked for a good month trying to figure out what is wrong with it and couldn't figure it out. I watched a couple of your videos on why my car wouldnt start and videos on scion tcs, I have already tried to jumpstart my car and checked to see if it was low battery but that didnt work. A mechanic said it was the cylinder head that wasnt working but then he had changed his mind and said maybe it was something else. My car only does a click click click sound when I try to turn it on. I don't have the money to be spending trying to buy parts that are not going to solve my problem. Which is why I want to make sure I can tell what is wrong with my car. I am about to start college and I live a pretty far distance from my school so I need to get this car running. Please help me out or point me in the right direction.

well if it doesn't even crank, then you have a problem with the starter, the battery, or your connections.

Get you battery load tested free at autozone (radio + lights doesn't mean it's gonna start the car)

Make sure battery connections are clean and tight. Check fuses AND relays. Especially starter relay.

Try whacking the starter with a hammer. If you go to our FAQ there's a whole section on troubleshooting a no start condition with videos and everything.  Start there.
