My car shuts off when ever I change it from reverse to drive or from drive to reverse but it gets back on pritty quick without any problem (one mechanic said that it neutral safety switch issues) is it true (it's Toyota solara2004)

Well, there's quite a few reasons the car could stall out, but if there is a short in that system it could conk it out. But realize many things like a vacuum leak, dirty fuel injectors, weak fuel pump could all cause the same problem
