I am in a nightmare! The church even had trouble getting the dealer to accept money!!! They have my name as Andy when its Andrew! My temp tags are expired and still no title, no signatures on paperwork that still doesn't exist. I know the state of MO. will send me the title but the dealer said I would get my paperwork with the title. How does that work and it has to say Andrew, not Andy like it says on the temp tag on back window. I haven't scratched the surface on just how bungled up this sale is and now wonder if the SUV is just as junk. By the way the salesman said the engine was replaced due to a recall yet there is no reference in Car-fax??? Am I driving a stolen car?
Relax!
The whole USA-world sees Scotty's videos!
So:
Kia's don't get stolen...
Kia's get abandoned
{black}:laughingoutloud:
Am I driving a stolen car?
Can't you check it out via VIN?
now wonder if the SUV is just as junk
It depends on if you have the 175 horsepower engine (not 191 GDi, as far as the 4cyls go) it's not horrible.
But, that's on the condition that it was well maintained and has reasonable millage.
These engines require frequent oil changes (after all it's a somewhat small 4cyl pulling what is a rather large SUV),
and even more importantly frequent ATF changes (CHECK FLUID CONDITION ON THE DIPSTICK!)

Most commonly with a diesel but otherwise the same cars, kind of an equivalent to the Ford Explorer in the US.
EDIT:
By the way the salesman said the engine was replaced due to a recall yet there is no reference in Car-fax?
Engines do not get replaced by recall, there was a class action lawsuit over the 2.4L GDi engines having a manufacturing defect in the Alabama factory.
In other words the engine failed and was replaced under the lifetime warranty offered by the settlement (although the word around is that Kia really doesn't like to honor it and it's not uncommon to see them try and avoid replacing them)
And this would mean you have the pretty crappy 2.4 GDi
