My daughter's 2018 Jetta is leaking engine oil, I am aware this is a I am aware this is a common problem with Jetta's, I know it s costly repair, what should I do? Please, maybe try a repair leak with AT-205 or have a VW dealer fix it 🤔

Where is it leaking from? How much is leaking? If just a valve cover gasket that would be a relatively simple repair that should not be very costly. Other leaks can be difficult and expensive to deal with.

AT-205 only works on rubber seals like crankshaft seals if it works at all. It may not depending on the situation and would be only temporary. AT-205 will not help at all for leaking gaskets.

Is the car producing blue oil smoke, especially under hard acceleration? When turbocharger oil seals are shot that's a typical symptom. (If the seals are bad you need a new turbocharger which is $$$$.) Check the leak source carefully - the oil lines are a lot less expensive than a replacement turbocharger.

(Also, please keep all the information about a problem, in the case the oil leak, together in the same topic thread. Thank you - topics merged.)
