We have always used E 85 in our 2010 Navigator but it recently began to drop MPG. Thanks for the tip.
Also, I own a 99 Silverado and I tried to run E-85, just to see what would happen. After filling it up, I took off on 1-10 and got up to around 80 mph. I got a mile down the road when it started to shake violently, like a dog shaking off water after getting out of a creek. After about 1000 feet, it leveled off and ran fine. TRUE STORY. It runs just a good on E-85 as it does on 91 octane. Has anyone else tried to run E 85 ion a old V-8 Cheve?
You mean, it got you back home. Lets see how it does in the long run.
You do know that just because it is running does not mean it is running "fine", right? Not sure what possessed you to fill a 1999 Silverado with E85, but unless you really do not care what happens to that motor I would stop driving it and drain the tank ASAP.
You probably ruined some of the tubes, injectors, sensors,... You name it. Why on earth have you done it?
Alcohol is aggresive. It can do nummy nummy. Well, you will see what. Let it be a surprise for you 😀
