I have 1990 Plymouth laser its a manual, my issue is while I was trying to jack up my car my jackstand failed and I wasn’t able to quickly pull my jackstand out of the way or into position so the car with all its weight bearing down on the jackstand pushed the metal floorboard up on the driver side

so now I have to move my foot awkwardly over this big bump on the floor so I can use the clutch… how should I fix this?

Plymouth laser? That’s awesome!  I haven’t seen one of those in probably 20 years.

without seeing it, I would assume you need to get good visibility on the damage.  Take out the driver seat and pull up the carpet.  The repair will really depend on how much rust is under there,  If no rust, just tap it out with a hammer.  If holes, cover them with fiberglass fabric.  But if there is rust, you’ll probably need to cut it out and weld in new metal.
