Hello,
I just purchased a 2015 TOY Camry SE With 122 Miles, for my son. He had a 04 TOY Camry V6 With a bad Cylinoid and the transmission is shot. We just got a 2015 Camry and had a pre-purchase inspection and it's acting very weird. When I drive it, you can feel a slight hesitation in 2nd gear or lower speeds, and around 40MPH the car feels like it's skipping a bit. It feels like I'm driving over large rocks and feel it under my feet. Any thoughts on what is happening here? I'm very concerned because we took a loan to build his credit and we just purchased it on 12/21. Please let me know your thoughts. I watch most Scotty Kilmer videos on YouTube.
It's a known problem. You can replace the transmission but it will eventually come back.
Never buy a car that "acts weird". Or did you mean it was a POST-purchase inspection? Never buy a car without a test drive and PPI FIRST.
@imperator I had a pre-purchase inspection. We drove it and had no issues. I thought the 2015 Camry was a good car to buy. It has a 122k miles on it.

The issue is that vintage of Camry is at the tail end of model years prone to transmission problems. It's important to research known problems when buying a used car as those may not show up during a pre-purchase inspection. (It's possible the seller added some kind of snake oil goop to the transmission in order to temporarily mask the problem during your test drive.)
It's always possible though there is some other problem. The car should be taken to a good mechanic who can do a full all-systems diagnostic scan.
