1987 toyota pickup 22r 4x4 base model 198k miles, g54 transmission. The transmission pops out of first, I changed the shifter bushing and still pops out. 3rd gear is starting to pop out now also. What would you recommend I do? I get so nervous taking it to anyone, I always feel like I cant trust them to do their job. I was thinking about shipping it to marlin crawlers to have it rebuilt. The truck belonged to my grandfather and I'm in the process of restoring it.

Thr transmission synchros are going out. Does this shop have a good reputation rebuilding transmissions? Usually a remanufactured transmission is the way to go, but I am not sure if you can get one for such an old vehicle.
