Hey Scotty, question for you about my 1997 Honda Accord LX. It’s an automatic transmission, and about 2 months ago I noticed that it has been slipping. So I looked at my fluid and it was bad, so I changed it. But what I realized is that the transmission fluid had been filled to 4 quarts, which I have heard only supposed to be filled with about 2.5 quarts. So since people have told me to replace the fluid with what was in there before, I put 4 quarts in. Would this be a reason for the slipping? Was this a mistake, and if so should I rechange the fluid or just drain some of it out?
Will never guess was fluid levels. When you're done check it correctly. An empty out any. That's too high. Too much or too little fluid will damage your transmission
Thank you Scotty! I took about 1 quart out of it and it seems to shift a lot smoother than before, however it’s still shifting a tiny bit rough. I will update you!
