Mystery Rain Water Issue

Topic starter

Scotty my 2003 z71 Chevy Suburban 5.3 L 1500 with 178550k has rain pooling on the front driver's side floor.  Nowhere else is it wet, seats, doors, roof, passenger side, dashboard, windshield, windows, etc. All other areas are totally dry.  Any thoughts on where this water is coming from as I have looked everywhere and see no visible entry.  Thank you!

Check the door weather seals and the door drain.

Thank you.

If it just started with the hot and humid weather, it might be the problem I had a few cars ago  - somebody had kicked loose the drain tube from the AC box that usually carries condensate to beneath the car.

Thanks! I will check that.

Or the AC box drain tube is clogged.

Thanks! I will check it.

Trickle a hose over suspected points of entry. Run some water in the cowl to test the the evaporator box, spray windshield seals, door seals, etc. Water doesn't always flow straight down or in. Don't blast water all over or you won't be able to find it, because you sprayed everything at once.

Thanks, I will try that as soon as it quits raining. Lol.
