If the service department is part of the dealer you’re buying the car from, I wouldn’t trust that.  If you’re interested in the car you should bring it to a trusted mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection.  If they give the green light then it may be worth negotiating for.

Well the Accord 2012 I am buying is from a private owner I talked to the last service shop it was at from the car faqx I had run on it and they said it was OK on the engine tranny and frame but I have a mechanic that will look at it im just worried about the price and of course condition and wat Scotty thinks about the value of it?

A salvage car isn't worth that. I personally think their value is less than that, while many members on the forum will argue its worth scrap. $5000 is too much.

Also, its in the dealer service department's interest to tell you its in great shape. Make sure to have your own trusted mechanic check it out if you plan on buying it.

Wuld it be salvaged thou? The title is clean on it and the car fax does not say it's a salvaged car just shows all the tunes ups and good maintenance on it nothing about being salvaged so how wulf I kno that just title or somehow else?

Does it show it as an accident? It could just be a minor accident. This is why you want to have a mechanic to check it out, to see if there was a major accident that caused a lot of damage and if they didn't report it to the insurance company, or if its something minor in the rear.
If it damaged the mechanical components, don't buy it.
If its minor and lets say only damaged the rear bumper, haggle hard and consider buying it.

The thing with wrecked cars is, electrical failures can start happening years after the accident and won't be seen in a mechanical inspection because its fine at the time.

Yup Kerem it was hit in the rear two times only one said it had to be actually towed but never any damage but cosmetic from wat the car faqx says and yes it shows the two minor accidents on the car faqx but not on title the title is clean so wat do u think?

I think in that case give it a look test drive it and definitely have a mechanic check it out. Haggle as well.
Another thing to keep in mind, that year was problem free for the most part but that year range of Hondas had unfomfortable seats (same with our Odyssey) so pay good attention to them:
Here is the owner problem reporting data:

Also it's not a dealer car the service shop I talked to about was just the one that has been servicing the car since the private owner has had it and it's been taking good care of on that end definitely

Ok I will God bless u for ur help and info ! I am so scared to get ripped off or have sumthin bad happen just cause things have been so bad lately for us ukno and I just wanted to see wat u guys thought about the mileage and price as well as wat I seen on the car faqx

Your welcome and good luck!
