How's it going scotty was wondering if I should buy a Buick Regal 2012 with 103,000 miles for $2500. Is this a good deal? Check engine light came on and it said that it was the camshaft exhaust.
Run away. The newer Buick Regals were awful.
Their build quality was so bad that when Buick dropped the model, they shot up 6 spaces in reliability in most polls.
I have a 2019 Opel Insignia here in Ireland (they are Buicks in US). It is a 1.5L gasoline direct injection with a Turbo. Its 24 months old and only 20k miles on clock. Already the Engine Management Light has been on 6 times and dealer has had to change the Catalytic Converter and a 'Solenoid' value under warranty....
That GM vehicle with over 100,000 miles and declining quality and already a red flag with the CEL - I would run away. GM is especially not known for their electronics, and electrical gremlins popping up will make you re-think your purchase should you buy it.
No, don't buy it.
