1997 Toyota Corolla 1.6l automatic 4afe
I'm trying to find a wiring harness mine is badly damage and I can only find 1.8l one's idk if they will work I would like to stay with a 1.6l one if there is a difference I have called alot of people off of car-part.com and can't find one still
Wow, this is a tough one. The 1.8 is basically the same engine, but with a longer stroke than the 1.6, but they may have changed a number of other things in the wiring harness.
What I'd do is search for the NEW parts online and see if the 1.6 and 1.8 engines have the same Toyota part number (they offered both engines in 97 as far as I can figure). If they are the same, then you can use the 1.8 wiring harness, if not, you have to keep searching for a 1.6 harness.
